International Travelers

Yesterday I invited the four girls from my retreat small group (see photo below) over for lunch. They were talking about their plans for the coming weeks. This weekend over 30 of seniors (in Advanced Placement courses) are flying to London! Two weeks after that many of them will leave for ministry trips to places in Asia, Africa and Europe.
This morning one of my former students (now a sophomore) came in to say "hi." She's off to Berlin this weekend with her German 3 classmates. And then, for Easter break she'll head to Kenya with one of the many BFA ministry trips. They need prayers for safety, finances, and unity.
I'd be envious of our students were it not for the fact that I too have been blessed with the opportunity to travel (for fun and for ministry). This Sunday I fly to Berlin to join the group from Cornerstone E. Free Church. We're looking forward to working alongside the people of the Free Church in Magdeburg as they invite their community to "ProChrist", an evangelistic outreach for German speaking Europe. For more info see:

I'm looking forward to making new acquaintances and reconnecting with friends from one of my "home" churches. I praise God for the privilege of being a part of a community of "international travelers."
P.S. I apologize to Mrs. Mary Beth Holladay for not giving her full credit for the amazing backdrops/sets which she painted for the Candlelight Dinner. We were impressed and grateful for all her work!

Hey, ME! I am so proud of you, adding blogging to your long list of talents. It's fun to read and see what's going on in Kandern and in your life. I can't believe the AP students get to go to London! Miss you! Allison C.
