PRO CHRIST

During the recent ProChist Outreach 43,000 Persons in German Speaking Regions came forward to testify to a new faith in JESUS CHRIST!!!

I was very privileged to have a small part in this outreach, along with 8 team members from the Cornerstone E. Free Church of Webster Groves. What a joy to meet (German) fellow believers in Christ and give non-believers the opportunity to hear the Gospel. We divided our week between the "streets" and the "schools" looking for opportunities to invite people to attend the services which were televised via satellite to over 1250 locations in Europe (including our small sister church in the city of Magdeburg, in eastern Germany).

Back Home

Thanks, Sonya and Francie, for the fun gifts you sent with the Cornerstone Team (see photo below). We had a GREAT time in Magdeburg!! I hope to "report" soon. Thanks to those who prayed for us. We met some wonderful German believers and pray that the contacts we made with the people of Magdeburg will produce fruit in the years to come.

International Travelers

Yesterday I invited the four girls from my retreat small group (see photo below) over for lunch. They were talking about their plans for the coming weeks. This weekend over 30 of seniors (in Advanced Placement courses) are flying to London! Two weeks after that many of them will leave for ministry trips to places in Asia, Africa and Europe.

This morning one of my former students (now a sophomore) came in to say "hi." She's off to Berlin this weekend with her German 3 classmates. And then, for Easter break she'll head to Kenya with one of the many BFA ministry trips. They need prayers for safety, finances, and unity.

I'd be envious of our students were it not for the fact that I too have been blessed with the opportunity to travel (for fun and for ministry). This Sunday I fly to Berlin to join the group from Cornerstone E. Free Church. We're looking forward to working alongside the people of the Free Church in Magdeburg as they invite their community to "ProChrist", an evangelistic outreach for German speaking Europe. I'm looking forward to making new acquaintances and reconnecting with friends from one of my "home" churches. I praise God for the privilege of being a part of a community of "international travelers."

P.S. I apologize to Mrs. Mary Beth Holladay for not giving her full credit for the amazing backdrops/sets which she painted for the Candlelight Dinner. We were impressed and grateful for all her work!

More photos

Me and my group of 4 BFA Seniors!

This has to be one of the funniest group games I've ever seen: "Soccer in the Dark" (cuz you can't see the ball with that silly inner tube around your waist).

Let it snow....

I wonder if our students have any idea how blessed they are to be in the Swiss Alps!! Yes, I had the privilege of going along on the High School Retreat. The avid snow athletes didn't have the chance to ski or "board" becaue it rained all day on Saturday, but we had a good time, nonetheless.

It was my great privilege of lead a small group of four seniors (two of whom I'd known a long time and two who were new to me). We had a great time chatting and discussing the messages: the power of the tongue (James 3); how Jesus treated 1) children, 2) the hurting and 3) the lost; and bitterness/anger/forgiveness.

While we were gone Kandern had record snows! Over a meter (do you know your metric conversions!?). We're still digging out from under the piles of snow...

My focus this week is preparing for the upcoming ProChrist outreach. In less than two weeks I'll be on my way to Magdeburg! God has given me such a variety of ministry opportunities this year! Soli deo gloria.
